I love it when the light pours in to my studio and I can capture beautiful images of my sugar flowers, its a bright day today and I'm feeling inspired.

You know that I'm a massive fan of sugar flowers, I can make them for hours and never get tired. But sometimes, fresh flowers work so well on a wedding cake. I wanted to show you how well they can work with the current trend of marble effect and with blush and copper metallic.
Valerie Rose, a local florist, who I love, agreed in this little project at Hardwick Park, and the wonderful Jade from Gasp Photography took the images for us.  If you are considering fresh flowers I can work with your florist xx

A new venue for your wedding day is truly a wonderful blank canvas to be as creative as you like! its a wonderful treasure with an aim to create a imaginative, innovative space to enrich the lives and practice of the creative community.

Faye from Faye Darcy Events asked me to be apart of  creative team to show the potential of this new wedding venue, i jumped t the chance of course! I have worked with Faye on a number of occasions and love her vision. She set me the challenge of an industrial theme with a colour pop of tropical loveliness. She also briefed me not to do a tiered cake...!
Karen from Ruby Tuesday Events styled the shoot and gave me a photo of some balloons in tropical colours to work with, a little out of my comfort zone but what a lovely opportunity to push yourself.
We could not be happier with how this shoot turned out, the talent and vision of the tem just pulled together fter walking into a whote room, ewhite is daunting! to the results, just look! of course the creative eye of Gavin Forster, his photos are amazing and show the style off to perfection.

Barn on the Bay

A lovely new wedding venue on a Northumbrian Coastal Farm that gives you complete control and flexibility to have Your Wedding, Your Way.

I can see a little trend starting with my blogs and projects, yes the seaside. Im just drawn to its beauty and energies and nothing better to walk along the sand and the sea rolling in, whether its in an exotic warm location or the northern coast. To be honest the rolling untouched sands of the Northumberland coast takes some beating in my opinion!

Calico Barn, between Morpeth and Alnwick  has a lovely warm feeling and can now host intimate weddings for couples looking for a rustic barn experience. I was delighted to be invited to there first wedding showcase to display a wedding cake and thrilled to work with some amazing suppliers who styled the venue.  Photos are by Anita Nicholson

When you are invited to design a wedding cake for treehouse wedding with a secret garden theme, well my creative mind almost exploded! I loved every minute of making this cake and allowed me to have some fun at the same time.

A secret garden to me, means adventure, play, prettiness and exploring. I wondered how a cake would look with a secret door with a treasure of pretty blossom flowers.

I designed a cake with delicate colours and a light marbling. Look how pretty it looks in the setting of the treehouse and captured magically by Kimberley Waterson, photographer.

Kimberley Waterson brought together a fantastic group of local suppliers in a gorgeous venue, Alnwick Gardens. Ruby Tuesday Events styled the shoot, flowers and props.

Vintage at Number 18 provided some beautiful dresses which were original vintage or handmade as well as accessories for the shoot.

Amber from The Vintage Wedding Co made such a beautiful stationery suite  to coordinate the look.

I was also delighted that this cake was featured as part of an international cake collaboration longside cake artists worldwide.

A beach wedding at Newcastle Quayside

Its an absolute pleasure working with Faye Darcy as a part of the POP-UP wedding collective.

Just look at this fabulous Newcastle Quayside Seaside wedding, beautifully captured by Gavin Forster.

As part of the pop-up package I supply a semi naked cake, such a perfect cake for a smaller wedding. This one is decorated with one of my cake toppers, an anchor.

Gorgeous styling by  Ruby Tuesday Events

I love Newcastle Quayside, it has very special memories for me, the market on a sunday, the culture and architecture and of course a great night out x

I am very fortunate to work with the Spa Hotel, Saltburn. It’s a lovely hotel, right on the bank, with breathtaking views across the sea and cliffs.   I love it everytime I go there.

As a preferred supplier, I was delighted to be a part of this styled shoot to showcase the hotel for weddings, photos are by the very talented Martin Ker Photography.

We wanted to showcase the hotel with a stylish botanic theme and I was briefed to make a wedding cake. I thought it would be perfect to show couples how amazing a semi-naked cake can look with additional sweets and treats for their guests. Flowers are by the Countryside florist.

This is a bit of a throw back, but its such a beautiful shoot I wanted to show you on my blog... I was delighted to be asked to collaborate in this amazing creative shoot with Ruby Tuesday Events. It was photographed by the very talented Natalie Pluck. The dress is designed by the amazing Kathryn Russell and set in the magical venue of Woodhill Hall.
Karen at Ruby Tuesday Events wanted to celebrate 150 years of Alice in Wonderland, such a fitting tribute to have a wedding tea party in the woods. Believe it or not as I was driving up to Northumberland on a Chilly November day, it was thick fog and I remember thinking it was not going to work, but as soon as we hit Otterburn the sun magically shone for us and we were truly blessed. it was an absolute pleasure to work with many talented suppliers...

Look at the magic of this amazing location! Its an overlooked beauty spot in the beautiful North East, its Marsden.

I was thrilled to take part in this photoshoot by Kimberley Waterson Photography and some very talented wedding suppliers in our region.

When designing the wedding cake for this shoot I wanted to represent the sea, with its beautiful fresh colours and a marbelling effect which is quite a popular choice this wedding season. The constrast of the white floating sugar flowers works well and the gold accents to supplement the golden sands. Kimberley asked for a bit of glamour with the feathers xx
